When tying my Little Green Machine for instance, I incorporate wire, flash, and tubing during the construction of the fly and this clip holds all of the materials while allowing for smooth rotary action. With traditional material clips I have experienced them holding the materials in the clip until the vise rotates, then the materials fall out as they are rotated upside down. Not with this one! The clip comes with two different size springs for holding tiny materials for midges and larger materials for bass and saltwater materials with ease. If you don't have one now you don't know what you are missing!
